About Hero Reward
Our program is designed to provide U.S. Service men and women, police officers, and fire fighters a one of a kind retreat to aid in both mental and physical recovery from traumatizing events. The nature of these heroes’ careers has a certain degree of sacrifice involved, but some experience situations that far exceed the call of duty.
Located on a couple hundred acres in the hills of Southern Indiana, the Hero Reward Program offers lodging, world class fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, skeet shooting, and much more. In addition, our local community also offers attractions such as amusement parks, caverns, golfing, casinos, horse track, Bass Pro Shop, antique shops, and many more.
Hero Reward is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that offers these services to the heroes and their families free of charge. Hero Reward has been blessed to be supported by many individuals, small businesses and corporations that realize that the sacrifice made by these men and women allows the rest of us to worry about trivial items (in comparison) like the price of bread or gasoline. The general public’s unity and show of appreciation is the least we can do to help aid these heroes during the healing process. Some heroes may be trying to rebuild and affirm bonds and relationships that have been strained for months and sometimes years due to the nature of their career. Others may be dealing with actual physical injuries that will challenge them for the rest of their lives. Others are simply trying to deal with a situation where someone serving with them paid the ultimate price. The Hero Reward Program exists solely from tax deductible contributions made to our 501 (c)(3) organization.
A lot of things in this world come with a price affixed. When you see two young boys spending three days of undivided attention with their dad (which they have not seen for 6 months) fishing, hunting, and sitting around a campfire, you truly realize some things are “priceless.” Our goal is to provide those “priceless” moments over and over again and create something that everyone can wrap their arms around and take pride in.
We would like to talk with you about how you can help be part of this wonderful rewarding journey. You can simply view our website or literature and make a contribution or we would love to sit down and discuss the program with you.
